This short e-book is about looking at money in a fresh new light and reframing the “problem” of money in relation to our environment and future sustainability. What would it be like if money at all levels of society promoted sustainable livelihoods, healthy forests, abundant wildlife, clean air and clear water? By taking a new look at money from a higher, or more fundamental level, this e-book explores how, with a gentle tweaking of money’s foundation, we can bring this about for the benefit of all: people, businesses and the environment.Being a tropical field biologist for many years and serving as the director of a Costa Rican conservation organization for a few more, the author has been involved in the conservation movement since before Earth Day 1970. Based on his lifetime experience, he proposes one possible approach for creating a sustainable future that would have far reaching impact if implemented. His primary intention is to inspire new generations of conservationists to think outside the box, and to experiment freely with novel approaches for generating greater harmony between society and nature.
